What is an hacker?

Hello everyone!

In this thread i will show what is an hacker (the definition, his term,categories of hackers ,notable hackers,his goals,ignorance about hackers and such).

You will find weird that thread but i just post to understand more this word "hacker".

Now let start.

1-Definiton

Hacker-In computing and informatics an hacker is an expert about progamming, computing and such.

However the term of this name is vary and his terminology is complex.

So, this name "hacker" has more terms and they are divided in categories.

2-Terminology

The terminology of this name is vary.

The name also vary on subculture and communities.

Here i will put some terms about this name (those include):

Computer Security- In computer security a hacker is a person that debug and/or fixing the problems (they are called White hats or white hats hacker), those who are ambitious but in the same perceptive dualism (good and bad) they are called (Grey hats or grey hats hacker) and those who are criminal who perform unauthorized actions and steal things, etc. they are called (Black hat or black hat hackers).

Community- In community an hacker is an enthusiaist programmer and good systems designers.

Those type of hackers originate in the Massuchetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Tech Model Railroad Club (TMRC) and many others.

Those type of hackers also are good at understandings of the internal things of the computer, system and the functionality.

Hobbyst-An hobbyst hacker is an hacker that want to explore the limits of the computing (make more creative, more reiable, modify, creating, etc.).

Those type of hackers want to make things more faster and better than you think.

Also there are some hacker hobbyst that are artist (making art using their skils) in an artistic action.

Some type of hobbyst hackers are: Steve Wozniak, Bill Gates,Paul Allen and probably Steve Jobs.

3-Categories of hacker

Here i will put some categories of hackers.

White hat-A white hack is an hacker that fix problems and bugs.

Also their goals is to help companies, hack in a helpful way,protect and make the security more strong.

They in general use the hacking to make the security more good and help to fix bugs.

Grey hat-A grey hat hacker is a type of hacker that is both in the perceptive (white hat and black hat) they are both good and bad in their actions.

Their goals is to help other peole but can also make bad things like a black hat hacker.

Black hat- Now this is more bad.

A black hat is a hacker that use his skill for bad things (for example, steal things for personal gain).

Those type of hacker are malcious and criminal because they also can steal money from banks, people and they can be also destructive.

Also their goals is to break in security computers to destroy data and make the computer more unsuable.

Also they are called "crackers".

Those types of hackers are malcious and criminals because they use the skills for bad things.

Elite hacker- An elite hacker is an hacker that is more skilled.

Script kiddie- A script kiddie is an person that doesn't have skills and experience of hacking, so they use programms and tools made by others.

Ironically this category is called "kiddie" because some of these people are also kids. -_-'

This is more like in a underlying concept.

Blue hat-In general those types of hackers are those who "before thinking" they consult and examine an company that use bug test before a system is open (start up).

Green hat-Those types of hackers are more different.
They are more in alternatives, everything goes speculattif, new approaches.

And many others...............(there are more categories of hackers)

4-Notables hackers

Some notables hackers are: Richard Stallman,Raymond,Paul Allen and others.

They are mostly white hats (good hackers).

5-Ignorance about hackers

Today, now peoples and social media take this word "hacker" just as an criminal and malcious, and this is pure ignorance.

You can't generalize all type of people, this is a pure ignorance.

There are hackers that are criminals but some hackers are good and want to help others for the better.

Bad hackers are crackers or/and black hat and those who are good are white hats.

In general when this word "hacker" was born, this word was used for those who are experts in computing, informatics, programming and they are good at IT (Informatics Technology).

Sadly, today people and social media use this word as a computer criminal and this is just plain wrong.

6-Hackers and Cheaters

Today also still some players think that cheaters are hackers.

And sometimes when someone say "OOOOO i found a hacker" is just wrong.

They are cheaters and no hackers.

Hacking has nothing to do in it.

Corectly the good name is cheater instead of hacker.
